Hired by Hive NYC Learning Network (Hive NYC) a city-wide learning laboratory for educators, technologists, and mentors to design innovative connected educational experiences for youth. My task was to strategize, organize, & produce an engaging celebratory highlight reel to acknowledge the accomplishments of various non-profit organizations in the HIVE NYC network over 2020 quarantine.

ExpandED Options

The Expanded Options Program (EOP) aims to provide high school students with additional opportunities to continue or complete their education and pivot into higher level education. As a member of ExpandED Options I engaged in meaningful discussion and ideation on how to best support the high school students in our community transition successfully into college.

New Media Arts

EVC’s New Media Arts  (NMA) is an annual workshop that  gives high school students college and career preparation in digital media arts as they learn to shoot video, photography and create interactive websites. As a teaching assistant, I provided mentorship and hands-on guidance as we created tutorial videos on pre-post video production.

The Youth Documentary Workshop is the Educational Video Center’s award-winning program that has been preparing students for active community engagement, successful media careers and college since 1984.  As a teaching assistant, I took a leading role in the mentorship and guidance of majority BIPOC youth as they create community-based documentaries that would help them break into social activism and media-based careers.
